Biography

Rickey N. Oglesby, Jr. has lived in Smyrna, GA for over 15yrs. Mr. Oglesby has two children that attend Cobb County Public School. Rickey has  a Bachelors Degree in History/Political Science from Paine College, a Masters of Business Administration from South University, and is currently enrolled in Emory University Certified Financial Planner course. Rickey worked as a Trust Officer for the Private Bank of a major financial institution over the last decade. Rickey is a Georgia National Guard Veteran where he worked as Human Intel Collector.  Currently Rickey is the majority owner of  Indigo Room. A full service Jazz Restaurant in the heart of Smyrna, GA. He loves volunteering as a track coach for Smyrna Elite Jr. Spartans Track Team. Rickey's passion is volunteering in our communities, supporting our public schools, youth athletics, and local business owners. 

He will work hard to ensure that our civil servants have the tools that are needed to be successful. 

Rickey has served in the private sector for a number of years, holding a variety of roles and titles throughout his career. The first thing his friends and family will tell you is that he has never forgotten where he came from and how important the values learned will be as he steps into public sector service.
